As India marks its 76th Independence year and ISD completes 5 years of serving democracy, we invite you to our first Democracy Festival, on
2nd & 3rd of September 2023 in New Delhi.
Through dialogue, debates, discussions, exhibitions, music, showcases and various conversations we explore where we are on the path of realizing the dream of democracy that our founding mothers and fathers imagined as India gained its freedom.
We will have senior politicians across the political spectrum, and important stakeholders from the political and social ecosystem all on one platform to talk about what Democracy is and what it needs to be.

The Democracy Festival welcomes individuals who are passionate about politics, governance, and democracy. This will be a 2-day closed event with limited entries, so please register soon! The event offers a platform for learning, networking, and exchanging ideas on principled politics and shaping India's future.

Applications and Tickets
Only 350 selected participants would be invited to attend this two-day event. The contribution required for attending the event is as follows and covers 2-day attendance and meals (except breakfasts) during the 2 days. However, accommodation or travel expenses are NOT included. Certificate of Participation will also be awarded to participants who attend events on both days.

Please note that the actual cost per participant for ISD is ₹ 7142, it has been reduced significantly to make it accessible for everyone.
Free entry for all women and transgender persons, who apply.
Financial Support
We are able to offer financial support to Women participants only. Women, who cannot afford to attend the event otherwise can apply for financial assistance. 50 participants would be granted financial support, and the results of this aid will be announced on a rolling basis. This assistance would include stay, food and a small travel allowance
